Item: FA158         BIG Buck Creek    PUBLISHED Overstreet # 11 & 13
Description: BIG Sonora Buck Creek - 2 COA's- 1st TAKE NOTE, I want it to be known that this Buck Creek has been determined to have modern re-chipping to one side of the tip!  I have outlined this re-chipping in the last two photos in the "extra photos".  Myself, Tom Davis, Jerry Dickey & Joseph Mattingly all agree on this.  AND THAT even though it has two COA's, I will modified both COA's to reflect this.   This is a BIG example for the type to be from KY.  It is made of Highly Collectible Sonora Chert and was found in Barren County, KentuckyBeautifully mottled Blue/Gray to Cream Sonora Chert  (see photos).  This Buck Creek has VERY nice symmetry.  It came from the Matt Moeller Collection.  Comes with Both a Bill Jackson, "Jackson Galleries" paper, dated 1/20/2004 (No. 18096) with an origin stating: "Barren Co., Kentucky. Ex- Matt Moeller Collection. From the Collection of Doug Howard and papered at his request" AND a IAGA Grading Certificate grading it a G-9 (see photos).  It has a couple of small dings, but I would have graded it a G-9 based on the size, color, & material (if not for the re-chipping)A nice large example of the type that displays well and would be valued at several times this amount without the re-chipped tip    This piece is pictured in the Overstreet # 11 on page # 372 & in the NEW Overstreet # 13 on page #452  Ex-Matt Moeller, Ex-Doug Howard, Ex- John Duncan, Ex-Grady Steele
