Description: Fine Boyle Chert Kentucky Early Ovoid Knife -  Here is a well made Early Ovoid Knife made of Boyle Chert that was found in Bourbon County, Kentucky. It is thin and well flaked.  It has an Ancient "burin" fracture on one side of blade near tip.  (see photos).  In inspecting this piece, I discovered that it has minor "re-chipping" to one side of the very tip.  I have outlined this in the last two photos in the extra photos. ( see photos).  Ex- Jason Broughton, Ex- Carson.

Description: Sonora Chert Early Ovoid Knife - This Early Ovoid Knife is made of beautiful Sonora Chert.  It was found in Hardin County, KY.  IT has some cortex material near the tail on one side that really highlights the piece.  These Blades were the earliest form of notched points or blades.  This is a beautiful example of a hard to find type.  Ex- Monty & Jewdy Pennington
