Description: Hardstone Knobbed Bell Pestle with dimpled bottom - This fine Pestle was found in Canaan Township, Wayne County, Ohio sometime prior to 1940.  It is knobbed at the top, has a nice bell shape, sit's for a nice display and is dimpled on the bottom with an overall nice slick finish!  Ex- Monty & Jewdy Pennington.

Description: Polished Hardstone Bell or Hoof Style Pestle -  Here is a VERY NICE example of a Bell Pestle.  This one has a very nice Squared off pole end and a wide flared out bottom.   There is wear use on the flange of the bell as you will see in this type of Pestle.  It was found in Central Kentucky.  It sits up nicely and an angle which is why some refer to these as a "hoof" type Pestle.  Ex- Monty & Jewdy Pennington

Description: Two Sided KY Nutting Stone - This two sided Nutting Stone was found in Fayette County, KY.  It has one "nutting" dimple on both top and bottom. (see photos).  These were used in combination with a Pestle to break up and extract kernels from nuts.  It is made of Sandstone, which is common for these.  This piece was purchased in a group of artifacts on a board which hung in Green's Filling Station on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington, KY, where Ramsey's Diner now stands, from around 1940 until around 1974.  It was then purchased by Prewitt Breeze.  Ex- Prewitt Breeze Collection, Ex- Monty Pennington
