VERY UNUSUAL BASE
Description: Unusual Bifurcated Typology - It
was found in Bath County, Kentucky. It is made of highly
patinated Fort Payne Chert. It was found by Lyndon Johnson
of Salt Lick, KY. I had a VERY hard time typing this
unusual piece and I am still not sure that it is right. I
have seen two of these that were very similar besides this one.
Gary Noel had one that he showed me. So this very well may be a
type not previously named. I have had it papered so that the
provenance would be preserved. It comes with a Tom Davis
COA typing it as an unusual Greenbrier. Ex- Monty
Pennington
