Investment Grade Artifact - G10
Description: Fantastic Dover Chert Cumberland
- This Fine Cumberland is made of a beautifully patinated piece of Dover
Chert. It was found in Stewart County, Tennessee many years ago.
I have been able to trace it back to the collection of Jim Green.
Jim was from Lexington, KY and was a member of the old Webb
Archaeological Society. Jim Green also served a President of the
Green River Archaeological Society in 1969 and 1970. It was
purchased from Jim by Lenny House, also of Lexington, KY. Lenny
had one of the 1st Pager Companies in KY, USA Mobile and later a Home
Health business. This fine Paleo has excellent symmetry. It
is fluted 3/4's of it's length on one side and 1/2 of it's length on the
other side! The hafting area is nicely ground.

Description: Double Fluted Sonora Cumberland
- This nice Cumberland is made of Patinated Sonora Chert. It was
found in Logan Co. KY. It is fluted to the tip on one side and

Investment Grade Artifact
Description: Beautifully Patinated Dover
Chert Cumberland -
Western TN. Fluted about 25% on it's length on
both sides with a "recognizable" 1/2" ancient burin on one side.
This "burin" helped me to track history on the piece. It was found
near Bevis Mills and the "Cotton Patch" in Walker Bottoms about 30 years
ago by Larry "Opossum" White. It was sold through Hwy 99 Antiques Auction" in Columbia, TN
about 20 years ago. It was then sold through an obscure Auction
out of a Tallahassee Collection in 2013 and listed from Hardin County,
TN. The faint #5 & 406... was said to be a museum tag?
It was then purchased off Ebay by J. Broughton and sold to Roger
Rakestraw who kept if for seven years and then sold it to Josh Davis.
It comes with a Davis COA,

- This Paleo has beautiful, Clovis like flaking and symmetry. The
hafting area is nicely ground. It is made of highly patinated semi
translucent Haney Chert. Because of the chert, I believe this to
be a Kentucky Piece. It has an old collectors mark on one side.

Fluted Clovis - This Fine Clovis was found by Wade Casmer in Western, KY.
It is made of highly patinated Fort Payne Chert. It is thin and
has beautiful Flaking and symmetry. The hafting area is well
ground. It was papered by Jerry Dickey on June 22, 2002 Cert# 02-0342 of
which I have a digital copy only. Just a Super Clovis from a
classic KY material!

Description: Big Hornstone Fluted Cumberland
from KY - This Exceptional Paleo was found in Edmondson County, KY in
the 1970's by Tim Houchin. It is fluted to the tip on both sides.
It has beautiful symmetry and flaking. It is made of highly
patinated Hornstone. This is an investment grade artifact for the
discerning collector. Cumberland's that exceed 4 inches are very
hard to come by. This one has a a few minor dings that hold

Description: St. Louis Style Clovis - We
at Penbrandt Prehistoric Artifacts are both pleased and
excited to be selected to offer for your pleasure the DeBorde
Clovis. One of THE most Exceptional pieces of flint to
surface in the last 35 years. It was found by my good
friend Jack Deborde as a surface find in February of 1990
in Bourbon County, KY in a rough plowed field that had been
turned under in November of 1989. It is my opinion
from a surface examination under a scope that this exceptionally huge
Paleo is made from a highly patinated piece of Sonora
Chert. Other opinions over the years have called it Coshocton
or Fort Payne but I believe Sonora is correct. It measures 4
7/8 inches long and 2 inches wide. It is very thin and
extremely well made. It is fluted approximately 2/3rds
of it's length on both sides (see photos).
There is a burin fracture on one blade edge slightly back from the tip
that is as ancient as the blade. (see photos) Some of this
style of Clovis are believed to have been used in the harvesting of
thatch from substances found on the blades. Make no mistake, this
is a premier artifact that deserves a truly appreciative
collector! It was first published in the "Prehistoric
American", Vol. XXXVII, Number 2, in 2003 on pg 14. It was
next pictured in the "Central States Archaeological Journal",
Vol 55, No.1, in January of 2008. It was again
published in "Ancient Indian Artifacts", Volume 1, by Jim
Bennett in 2008 on pg's 196 & 197. Finally, it was
also pictured in "Extraordinary Fluted Points of the Tennessee
Valley Region" by Ellis E. Whitt in 2010 on pg
44.

PICTURED IN OVERSTREET #'s 10 & 11
Description: Kentucky Harrodsburg Chert Quad
(gray) - This piece of Paleo Art was found in the Touristville area,
near Mill Springs, Kentucky in Wayne County. I originally
purchased this piece from Shane Pendergrass in Feb 2005 at the Gallatin
TN show. Shane had purchased it from the farmer who found it on
the surface of his property. In April of 2007 I sold it to Bob
Overstreet. In November of 2023 Jewdy was able to purchase it again
as an Anniversary present
and we brought it back to KY. It has nice flaring ears on both sides
and a nicely ground basal area. It was published in Overstreet #
10 on page 469 and also pictured in Overstreet # 11 in the color plates
on page 49. Ex. Shane Pendergrass, Ex Monty Pennington, Ex Bob
Overstreet.

Description: Very Rare Fluted Redstone -
This Beautiful Redstone was found in Tennessee. It
is made from a light colored flint. It has very nice symmetry
and shape. It is fluted on both sides with
one flute running 3/4's the length of the point. If you
like papered pieces, you can't get a better Paleo than this, it
comes with 3 Coa's. One from Tom Davis grading it a G-8,

DAVIS COA G9 +
Description: Large, Beautiful Quad from Harrison
County, Kentucky - This Beautiful Quad was found in Harrison County,
Kentucky in the 1980's by Vernon Russell. It was purchased from
the finder by Jim Atherton on Oct. 30th, 2018. This is a large
example for the type at 3 9/16 inches as most Quads seldom break 3 1/4
inches. It has nice Parallel flaking and very nice symmetry and is
quite thin! The blade edges curve back in to the waist and then
flare out into nice squared off ears above an Auriculate base. It
is made from Cain Ridge Chert which outcrops in a portion of Fayette
County, Kentucky. Coming out of our personal collection. It
comes with a Davis COA Grading it a G9 +. Ex- Jim Atherton, Ex-

Description: Beautiful Fluted Kentucky
Cumberland - Here is a Beautiful Kentucky Cumberland that is fluted on
Both sides. On one side it is fluted to the tip and on the other
side about 2/3rds of it's length. It is made of a High Grade Two
Tone Hornstone that Davis called Sonora. I believe it is either
Sonora or blue Carter. It has nice symmetry and flaking. It
