Description: Kentucky Stemmed Hardin - Here is on of those pieces that is hard to type.  I believe it to be a Hardin of the "stemmed" variety.  I have been able to examine a hand full of these and that is the best typology that I can give them.  It is well ground on the sides of the base and slightly lighter on the bottom of the base.  It exhibits Archaic Flaking and is steeply beveled from resharpening (see photos).  It is made of St.Louis Green Chert with nice iron deposits and a "bluish green" bulls eye.  A very nice Archaic piece if a bit odd.  Found in Estill County, Kentucky.
