- Item:FA143 PICTURED IN OVERSTREET # 10 & # 11
- Description: Beautiful Meadowood - G-10 - Here is a beautiful Meadowood that is Definitely a "G-10" in my opinion. I have tried and tried to place the material. It has inclusions or blotches in it as you can see, but they do not appear to be fossils. It is semi-translucent (see other photos) around the edges. It may be a variety of Carter or a Jasper or some other material that is creek stained. Bob Overstreet suggested that it was " Foraker Chert ". There is an old sticker on it that say's "Boyle Co.". It was sold to me as from KY and a search showed NO "Boyle County" in Ohio, Indiana, or Tennessee. If anyone knows a "definite" on this material, please let me know. This Meadowood is pictured in Overstreet # 10, page 443. It is Pictured in Overstreet # 11 on page 468. It
is also Pictured in "Ancient Indian Artifacts", by Jim Bennett on page 60. This piece is from my collection. Ex-John Duncan, Ex-Holland Higgs, Ex-Monty Pennington.
