Description: Really Nice Motley Knife from Southern Kentucky - This is a Very nice example of a Motley that has been used as a knife.  It has a Fine tip and nice ears.  It is fairly thin and has good flaking.  The symmetry is off a tad from re-shapenings identifying it as a knife from.  It is made from a tan quartz type Chert.  It was recovered in Simpson County, KY.

Description: Outstanding Cache of Super Thin Pieces - These SUPER 19 examples were all recovered together from under the roots of a tree about 15 yards from a stream below a rock shelter in Simpson County, Kentucky.  Most ALL of the Buck Creek examples are Super Thin and Well Made!  The two Motleys are also Very Thin!  There is a nice array of materials including Hornstone, Sonora, Fort Payne, & Dover Cherts.   We are providing #'s in the pictures, so to view several photos of individual pieces, look up the individual item #'s at the bottom of the page.  Many of these examples are about as good as they get!

Description: OUTSTANDING Rankin Style Motley - This is probably one of the VERY best examples of this type of Motley that there is!  It has PERFECT symmetry and is VERY thin and well made.  It exhibits exceptionally fine flaking. It is tipped with needle like tips on all Five points; the tip, both ears, and both sides of the base!  This is truly an investment type point.  It was found in Simpson County, Kentucky!

Description: Horse Creek Chert Motley - Here is a Neat Motley that is made from a Highly Collectible material called "Horse Creek Chert".  I am would call it a solid G-7.  It is reddish from the stem to the tip with a separating yellow line and a black base.  CLASSIC HORSE CHEEK CHERT!  The base and stem are ground and it has good flaking for the type.  There is an ancient burin fracture to the bottom of one ear that is hardly noticeable.  (see photos).  This Motley was found in Tennessee.  Ex- Tom Davis, Ex- Monty & Jewdy Pennington
