- Item: FA325
- Description: Newton Falls - This is an interesting Archaic form. I think that it is a Newton Falls or some other Archaic Side notch. It is VERY thin and well worked. It has two "spoke-shaves" built into the blade edges. (see photos). The tip was probably anciently impact fractured and also re-worked into a scraper of sorts giving the piece the appearance of a drop point knife. (see photos) There is only one small ancient ding on the top of the blade just up from the notch. The rest of the piece is just as the ancients used it. A true "mulit-purpose utility blade! I purchased this piece in a small group of artifacts on August 4th, 2004. Ex- Gilbert Cooper, Ex- Monty Pennington
- Size: 2 5/16 x 1 1/16 inches
