Really
Beautiful Material in a nice Pine Tree
- Description: Beautiful Serrated Pine Tree - This
Super Pine Tree is made from an ABSOLUTELY STUNNING piece of
conglomerate material. I wish I had the ability to take a close-up
that would do it justice! You need to view it under a scope to truly
appreciate this material. Near the base, is a band of solidified
sand particles trapped in a matrix with the couple of large brown
pieces! (see extra photos) This is a Very well made Pine Tree which
blows me away when I think how difficult this material must have been to
work. It has a FINE tip and is serrated down BOTH blade edges to
the ears! The base is well made and ground. It has been
re-sharpened more on one side than the other. This was a Tennessee
Piece, but who knows where this material came from! From our
personal collection! Ex- Monty & Jewdy Pennington

- Description: Ohio Carter Cave PineTree -
This piece has been removed from our Web Site. After coming across another piece of this material and taking to Tom Davis, we have determined that it is "probably" a contemporary piece. I am returning it to consigner. It may be a Gil Chumley piece. This material we do NOT believe to be Carter Chert although it does appear that way at first appearance. It has what appear to be mineral deposits, but rather than sitting ON the surface they are actually in inclusions that are in the material.
