Description: Super Buffalo River Chert Quad -
This Great Quad was found on Wells Creek, near Cumberland City, in Stewart County, Tennessee.
It has near perfect symmetry and super flaking. It has matching,
squared off, flaring ears above a deep Auriculate Base. The
hafting area is well ground! It is nice and thin. Just a
fine example of a Quad! It is made of a nicely patinated Striped
Chert that Davis called Buffalo River. It has an old collectors
notation (see photos) with the number "1047" Ex- M. Wasson, Ex- Monty

Description: Large, Beautiful Quad from
Harrison County, Kentucky - This Beautiful Quad was found in Harrison
County, Kentucky in the 1980's by Vernon Russell. It was purchased
from the finder by Jim Atherton on Oct. 30th, 2018. This is a
large example for the type at 3 9/16 inches as most Quads seldom break 3
1/4 inches. It has nice Parallel flaking and very nice symmetry
and is quite thin! The blade edges curve back in to the waist and
then flare out into nice squared off ears above an Auriculate base.
It is made from Cain Ridge Chert which outcrops in a portion of Fayette
County, Kentucky. Coming out of our personal collection. It
comes with a Davis COA Grading it a G9 +. Ex- Jim Atherton, Ex- Monty & Jewdy

Description: Very Nice Dover Quad - This nice
Quad was found

Killer Thinning Strikes - This FINE Quad is made from a nice piece of
material that is most probably Jasper, but also may be highly
patinated Fort Payne variety. It was found in Stewart County, Tennessee.
It exhibits Super
Flaking overall and is basally thinned with two strikes on both sides
that terminate in prominent hinged fractures so that it is basically
fluted. It has a very nice Auriculate base and flaring ears that
droop back nicely. The ears are squared off typical of good Quads
and the basal / hafting area is well ground. I would personally

Description: Kentucky Boyle Chert Quad - Here is a Quad with Exceptional ears. It is nice and thin and made of colorful Boyle Chert. There is an ancient ding on one side and the tip has a burin fracture. One side back from the tip has been anciently made into a scraper of sorts. (see Photos) It was found by Joey Fairbanks on an extended ridge off the Licking River Basin in Bath County, Kentucky in 2005. A nice form and a reasonable price.

- Description: Perry County TN Quad - I bought this piece while in Hardin County, TN on a surface hunting trip. It was found my Michael Haines in Perry County, TN. I am not sure of the Chert, but is indigenous to that area .... pink and tan in patinated color. It has had, in my opinion, an ancient impact fracture to side back from the tip. Some ancient then worked this area into more of a scraper. It has nice flaring, squared off ears, and a well ground base & sides. It is a nice authentic Quad at a reasonable price.
