Description: Beautiful Buck Creek / Motley Cache Point - This one appears to cross between a Buck Creek and a Motley, having more of the Motley ears, but also Buck Creek features.  I will let you decide.  It is made of a nice colorful two tone material and is nice and thin.  Found in Simpson County, Kentucky as part of a 19 piece Cache!

Description:  Broad Buck Creek Cache Point - This one is nice and wide for it's size.  It is very thin and has great symmetry.  It has a needle tip and the "reverse swoop" ears.  It is made of a beautiful piece of Fort Payne Chert.  One ear has a slight ancient "burin type fracture" on the base side of the ear. (see photos).  This made well be hafting damage.  I very nice piece! Found in Simpson County, Kentucky as part of a 19 piece Cache!

Description: Outstanding Cache of Super Thin Pieces - These SUPER 19 examples were all recovered together from under the roots of a tree about 15 yards from a stream below a rock shelter in Simpson County, Kentucky.  Most ALL of the Buck Creek examples are Super Thin and Well Made!  The two Motleys are also Very Thin!  There is a nice array of materials including Hornstone, Sonora, Fort Payne, & Dover Cherts.   We are providing #'s in the pictures, so to view several photos of individual pieces, look up the individual item #'s at the bottom of the page.  Many of these examples are about as good as they get!

 

Size:  Buck Creeks range from 2 1/8 x 1 7/16 to 3 9/16 x 1 5/8 inches

Motley's are 3 9/16 x 1 1/4 & 3 1/4 x 1 5/16

Description: Super Big Lost Lake with Color - Found in Tennessee.  Made of colorful piece of Dover Chert.  This lost lake was originally Huge, and has been sharpened to probably half it's original length.  It has great symmetry, and shape.  It is serrated down both blade edges.  It has nice drooping ears and a well made base.  It comes with a Tom Davis COA grading it a G-9.  Ex- Marsh Collection

Description: Huge Harrison County Chert Adena - This is a Beautiful Early Example and is Very Nicely flaked with excellent symmetry.  It is flatter on one side showing traits as found on fine Turkeytail Harrisons.  The sides of the hafting area on tail are ground.  It is made of a beautiful piece of mottled material.  Found in Simpson County, Kentucky

Description: Fantastic Sonora Chert Corner Notch - Benton? - This is an absolutely Beautiful piece!  It is made of HIGH grade Sonora Chert with lots of color.  It has perfect symmetry, super flaking, and It Nice and Thin for it's size.  It has a series of thinning strikes up from the base.  I believe this is a Benton, and as nice of one as you could ask for.
